We appreciate hearing from community members with concerns about Birrarung. The groundbreaking legislation which guides our work was made possible by community input, and it remains a vital part of caring for the River.
As an advocacy and advisory body focused on how governance of the River is operating, we are unlikely to intervene in a local decision-making process due to resourcing constraints.
Insights shared with the Birrarung Council can inform our advocacy work and our advice to the Minister for Water and we welcome community comments on issues of significance to the whole River.
For specific concerns, please contact your local responsible public entity or Melbourne Water as the Lead Agency responsible for delivering Burndap Birrarung burndap umarkoo.
